Penticton Cranial Sacral Therapist Reiki Healing Energy Work Body Work South Okanagan

Vaelei Walkden-Brown

Cranial Sacral Therapy and Reiki

The more direct practice of Cranial Sacral Therapy is combined with the energetic nuances of Reiki to provide relief of pain and restrictions within the body and energetic fields.  Clients experience more balance in the nervous system and an easing of headaches, muscle pain, brain fog, concussion symptoms, vertigo and more.

I have been trained and mentored by Julie Gerhardt (EnCore Cranial Sacral Therapy, Levels I, II and II) and Mahada Thomas (Usui System of Reiki, Levels I, 2 and 3) in Penticton, BC.

Philosophy

Little Lei Holistic Design works under the premise of the connection of all things…energetic, environmental, emotional and physical.  In the intuitive healing work I offer, I use all my senses to observe these different aspects of your being.  How are you, in that moment, on all these levels?  Where are you holding in your body, mind, spirit or emotion?  I understand that one aspect affects another, just as one part of your body has a great impact on the whole.

I find so much joy in the real time collaboration between myself, the practitioner, and you, the client. Together and with intention, we will listen, watch, feel and observe the places of both tension and ease in your body. Your body will do most of the work. It may feel as if my hands are doing it, but truly, it is your body expressing what it needs to find balance, motility and ease once again.

Upcoming Training

Manual Ostoepathy:

I aim to begin the Diploma of Osteopathic Manual Practice (DOMP) through the National Academy of Osteopathy in 2025. I will be studying under the mentorship of Emma Wolff. (www.akashahealth.ca)

Kambo Practitioner Training:

Kambo derives from the secretion of the Amazonian giant waxy tree frog, Phyllomedus Bicolor. The secretion is comprised of a unique complex cocktail of bioactive peptides that produce amazing benefits for both body and mind. This medicine offers profound benefits for both physical and mental well-being.

This training will be led by Kyla Prozak in 2025.

Myofascial Release

I have been informally mentored on the fascinating practice of Myofascial Release. While I wait for future learning opportunities, I am incorporating what I have learned on the table to listen and release the fascia. This is a very rewarding modality for practitioners and clients alike.

Personal

In my free time I love to dance, walk dogs and race cars in provincial rally cross events!

I am a board member for Rise Wellness Festival that takes place in Hedley every August long weekend. This yoga, music and wellness festival is an opportunity for me to celebrate and help share so many healing modalities that make my life better, which in turn, helps me hold space for other people’s betterment in the services I offer throughout the year.

Check out the festival here.

I recently spent 3 months in my mother’s homeland of Western Samoa. I began giving treatments there to family and friends and have built a good foundation for a practice there. Stay tuned for when I am next back in the South Pacific!
